Mid-grade magnesia has relatively strong reducing properties, can react with boiling water to release hydrogen, and can produce dazzling white light when burning. Magnesium does not interact with fluoride, hydrofluoric acid and chromic acid, and is not attacked by caustic alkali. Magnesium can be directly combined with nitrogen, sulfur and halogen, etc., and organic chemicals including hydrocarbons, aldehydes, alcohols, phenols, amines, fats and most oils can be easily dissolved in organic and inorganic acids. Magnesium works only slightly or at all. However, it reacts violently with halogenated hydrocarbons under anhydrous conditions (to generate Grignard reagents). Magnesium can react with carbon dioxide, so magnesium cannot be extinguished with carbon dioxide fire extinguishers.
The Necessity of Improving the Production Process of Light Burned Magnesium Balls
After years of production practice in our factory, light-burned magnesium ball products are produced according to the above preparation process, and the quality of the products has the following problems.
1) The sphere is loose. Low density, low strength, easy to break. Especially during loading and unloading, transportation, crushing and falling, the sphere is prone to breakage.
2) The ball formation rate is low. After the raw material is processed by the briquetting machine, half of it is the product and half is the powder, and the powder needs to be manually returned to the briquetting machine to continue processing.
